Dias & Riedweg is a duo formed by Walter Stephan Riedweg (born in Lucerne, Switzerland, in 1955) and Mauricio de Mello Dias (born in Rio de Janeiro in 1964). They live and work between Basel, Paris and Rio de Janeiro. Riedweg studied at the Musik-Akademie in Lucerne, the Scuola di Teatro Dimitri in Verscio and the Perfomance Studies Department at New York University. Dias studied at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, at the Schule für Gestaltung in Basel and at the Printmaking Workshop in New York. The duo began working together in 1993.
